We are recruiting for a Year 2 Teacher for a Primary School in Wigan (WN5) to work on a long-term basis starting September 2025!

The Year 2 Teacher role is to start Tue 02/09/25- Fri 19/12/25. This Year 2 Teacher role is working 5 x full days per week Monday to Friday 08:30am- 16:00pm. There are 30 children in the class and there are two full-time TAs working on a one to one basis with SEND children. The school would like someone who has previous KS1 teaching experience and someone who has SATs knowledge.

Your role & responsibilities:
* Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
* Guiding students through the curriculum, marking working, setting home working tasks
* Managing behaviour
* Upholding school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons
Non-negotiables:
* You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
* Hold QTS
* Knowledge of the national curriculum
* Be passionate and understanding
* Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
* Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
* Good communication skills
