About the role/school
Teach Plus are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive two-form entry mainstream primary school in Hackney. This vibrant school is well-regarded for its supportive staff team, engaging curriculum, and commitment to helping every child reach their full potential. As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the class teacher with daily learning activities, small group work, and one-to-one pupil support.

Job Responsibilities
Provide support to the class teacher and assist in delivering engaging lessons and activities
Work closely with pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to support their academic progress and emotional wellbeing
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Assist with classroom preparation, organisation, and display work
Support children with SEND or EAL needs, adapting resources where required
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in line with the school's behaviour policy
Contribute to the wider school community as a proactive and reliable Year 2 Teaching Assistant
Qualifications/Experience
Previous experience working as a Year 2 Teaching Assistant or within KS1 is desirable
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and child development
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A patient, caring, and proactive attitude
Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
Right to work in the UK
