Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Year 2

Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP with flexibility on notice periods

We are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 2 at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cannock. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey by providing tailored support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with additional learning needs
Implement individual learning strategies and work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Foster a positive, nurturing environment to support emotional and academic development
Monitor progress and assist with regular reviews and assessments
Encourage independence and social interaction within the classroom and wider school settingWhat We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children with SEN (particularly ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs is desirable)
A calm, compassionate, and proactive approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for supporting children's development
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, SEND training)
Previous experience in a primary school or 1:1 support roleWhat We Offer:
