Job Title: Year 3 Class Teacher Location: Birmingham Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term An Ofsted-rated Outstanding mainstream primary school in Birmingham is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 3 Class Teacher to join their Key Stage 2 team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a highly supportive school that is recognised for its excellent standards, strong leadership, and positive learning environment. The Role: Take responsibility for a Year 3 class, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching in line with national curriculum expectations Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, using assessment data to inform planning and support achievement Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports learning and personal development Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils Contribute to wider school life and uphold the values and ethos of the school The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 3 experience desirable but not essential) Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of the primary curriculum Be confident in classroom and behaviour management Be passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and improving pupil outcomes Be a reflective practitioner who works well as part of a team Show commitment to maintaining the high standards expected within an Outstanding school What the School Offers: A highly supportive and well-led Outstanding school environment A collaborative Key Stage 2 team with shared planning and resources Motivated and well-behaved pupils who are eager to learn Strong leadership with a clear vision for continued success Excellent opportunities for professional development and progression A positive and inclusive school culture focused on both staff and pupil wellbeing This role is suitable for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to secure a long-term position in a high-performing primary school setting.
