Key Responsibilities:
Individual Support: Provide tailored 1:1 assistance to a Year 5 pupil with autism, supporting academic, social, and emotional development.
Curriculum Access: Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the child's individual needs and ensure inclusion in class lessons.
Behaviour & Emotional Support: Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and confidence.
Collaboration: Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver effective support plans and interventions.
Progress Monitoring: Track and record progress against individual education plan (IEP) targets and share updates with staff and parents.
Communication: Foster a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil, encouraging engagement and participation.
Safeguarding: Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies to ensure the pupil's safety and wellbeing at all times.
Professional Development: Engage in relevant training and reflective practice to support ongoing professional growth and understanding of autism.

Experience & Qualifications:
Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
Experience: Experience supporting children with autism or other SEND needs in a primary school setting required.
Training: Understanding of autism strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, or sensory support preferred; safeguarding training provided.
Eligibility Requirements:
Right to Work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one.
Two professional references related to relevant educational experience.
