SANZA Teaching Agency is excited to partner with a wonderful primary school in Camden, to recruit a dedicated Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting a combined class of 23 pupils in years 5 and 6 for the entire academic year. About the Role We are looking for a capable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who can support all areas of the curriculum, particularly strong in Maths and Literacy. The ideal candidate will have a positive classroom presence and be effective in managing behaviour both in class and during breaks. Key Responsibilities: Support the teaching of Maths and Literacy, ensuring pupils understand core concepts. Assist the teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities. Help manage classroom behaviour, fostering a positive learning environment. Supervise and support students during break times. Work with small groups or one-on-one to provide additional support as needed. About You To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualities: Strong understanding of the Year 5 and 6 curriculum, particularly in Maths and Literacy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive classroom environment. Previous experience working with primary school children is preferred. A proactive and flexible approach to supporting the teacher and students.
