A welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Newham is seeking a Year 5 Class Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover contract starting February 2026. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons for Key Stage 2, ensuring all pupils make excellent progress.

Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents.
Work closely with year group colleagues, support staff, and subject leaders to enhance the curriculum.
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including school events and enrichment activities.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 5 experience desirable).
Strong understanding of the upper KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A flexible, collaborative approach and commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
