SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a dynamic and inclusive primary school in the heart of Islington to recruit a skilled and motivated Year 5 Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed educator with a passion for upper Key Stage 2 and preparing pupils for the transition to Year 6 and beyond.
The school is seeking an experienced or aspiring Year 5 Teacher to lead a class of enthusiastic learners with creativity, high expectations, and strong subject knowledge. This full-time role begins in September 2025, with the potential to become a permanent opportunity for the right teacher.
Role Highlights:
Full-time Year 5 Teacher position in a well-resourced, two-form entry school
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the full KS2 curriculum
Prepare pupils for end-of-year assessments with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy
Collaborate closely with the parallel Year 5 Teacher to plan lessons and moderate work
Develop pupils' independence, critical thinking, and resilience
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Support students with varying abilities, including those with SEND or EALWhat We're Looking For:
A qualified Year 5 Teacher (UK QTS required)
Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment framework
Confident teaching upper KS2 English, Maths, and foundation subjects
Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies
