Job Description
Are you a passionate and experienced SEN teacher with a commitment to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMHSEMH) needs?
We are a supportive and inclusive SEN school in Surrey, seeking a dedicated Year 5 Primary SEN Teacher to join our team. You will work with a small class of pupils who require a personalised and therapeutic approach to learning.
The Role:
Teach and support a Year 5 class of pupils with SEMH needs
Deliver a creative, engaging, and flexible curriculum
Implement behaviour support strategies and promote emotional resilience
Collaborate with a strong team of SEN professionals and therapists
Maintain close communication with families and external agencies
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
Recent experience working with SEMHSEMH pupils, ideally in a primary or specialist setting
Strong behaviour management and dede-escalation skills
Compassionate, patient and adaptable teaching style
Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
