About the Role:
Aspire People are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Shrewsbury to recruit a Year 5 Teacher for a full-time, permanent position starting September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and guide children in Key Stage 2, helping them develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

As a Year 5 Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, monitor and support pupils' progress, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture. You will join a collaborative staff team committed to the success and wellbeing of every child.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum.

Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.

Monitor pupils' progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.

Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and contribute to whole-school initiatives.

Maintain effective communication with parents and carers to support learning and wellbeing.

Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (ETCS welcome)

Passion for teaching and inspiring children in Year 5

Strong knowledge of the Year 5 curriculum and Key Stage 2 pedagogy

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Collaborative, proactive, and committed to professional development
