We are now looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join our team from September 2025.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to take on a Year 5 class and play a central role in upper Key Stage 2. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum that prepares pupils for Year 6 and beyond, while supporting their academic and personal development.
We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs with a strong KS2 understanding and a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities

Teach a Year 5 class, delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across the curriculum
*
Inspire pupils to achieve their best and develop as independent, reflective learners
*
Use assessment to inform planning and provide targeted support
*
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including trips, events, and extra-curricular activities
*
Work effectively within the KS2 team and across the wider school community
*
Maintain high standards of behaviour, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
*
Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues
We Are Looking For
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5 or Year 6
*
Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks
*
A creative and reflective practitioner with high expectations
*
Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
*
A team player who is committed to continuous professional growth
*
Applications from ECTs with relevant upper KS2 placements are welcome
