Year 5 / Year 6 Primary Teacher - Stafford - Long-term cover role - Start Date: After Easter Term
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 / Year 6 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming school on the outskirts of Stafford on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a mixed Year 5 / Year 6 class within a supportive and collaborative school environment.
The school has been rated "Good" by Ofsted and is well-regarded for it's strong leadership, inclusive ethos and commitment to both pupil progress and staff development. You will be joining a friendly and experienced team who work closely together to creative a positive and engaging learning environment.
The Role includes:
Full teaching responsibilities for a mixed Year 5 / Year 6 class.
Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment for all learners.
Working collaboratively alongside colleagues, support staff and leadership in order to provide the most enriching and fulfilling classroom environment.
Providing support to Year 6 pupils during the SATs period, working collaboratively with a dedicated and supportive staff team.What we are looking for:
An experienced Key Stage 2 teacher, who is committed to supporting pupils during the final years of their primary school journey.
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Demonstrate strong classroom management skills; the candidate will be confident in managing behaviour effectively, establishing clear routines, and fostering a calm and purposeful classroom atmosphere.
Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils' academic and personal development.
Somebody who is able to jump straight in; able to build strong, trusting relationships with staff, pupils and parents.
The ability to plan engaging, enriching lessons in line with schools planning policies and National Curriculum.
You will be working on a temporary basis, supporting one of our partner schools teaching a mixed Year 5/Year 6 class. This role will be until the end of the academic year.
Somebody who holds or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.Pay: £130 - £169 a day (dependent on experience) holiday pay is included in the day rate. The pay will be negotiated dependent upon how much responsibility you are expected to take on - e.g., there may be scope to increase the pay rate.
