The Role – Year 6 Behaviour Mentor
The successful candidate will work closely with the Year 6 teaching team to support a pupil with behavioural needs, helping to ensure a calm and focused learning environment in the lead-up to SATs. You will provide 1:1 interventions, develop behaviour management strategies, and liaise with parents and external professionals as needed. A calm, empathetic, and consistent approach is essential, along with a good understanding of behaviour for learning. Training such as Team Teach, ELSA, Thrive, or other therapeutic/behavioural support qualifications would be a strong advantage.
