Location: Hyde, Tameside
 Salary: £600 – £800 per week (ECTs welcome – paid to scale for long-term roles)
 Contract: January to July

About the Role

We’re looking for a confident, enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join a lovely primary school in Hyde from January 2026 through to the end of the school year. If you’re passionate about helping children achieve their best and want to join a supportive, welcoming team, this could be the perfect fit.

You’ll be taking on a friendly Year 6 class of around 30 pupils, with the support of a fantastic Teaching Assistant. The school has a great team spirit—staff share ideas, work closely together, and really care about creating a positive environment for the children.

What You’ll Be Doing

Planning and delivering lessons that prepare Year 6 for SATs while keeping learning fun and meaningful
Adapting work so all pupils can make progress, including those needing extra support
Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school team
What We’re Looking For

QTS or PGCE
Experience teaching in a primary setting, ideally KS2
Good communication and teamwork skills
Someone positive, flexible, and passionate about making a difference

Pay will depend on your experience and qualifications.
