Job Title: Year 6 Teacher Location: Blackburn, Lancashire Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Full-time, Permanent (or Fixed-Term - adapt as needed) Salary: MPS/UPS + possible TLR for the right candidate About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join our welcoming school community in Blackburn from January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate classroom practitioner who can inspire Year 6 pupils, raise attainment, and confidently lead them through their final year of primary school. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching in line with the KS2 curriculum Prepare pupils for end-of-KS2 assessments while maintaining a balanced and creative classroom environment Use effective assessment strategies to track progress and personalise learning Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community Contribute to whole-school initiatives and support the school's vision and values What We're Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A proven track record (or strong potential) of excellent teaching within KS2 Experience with Year 6 or upper KS2 is highly desirable Strong subject knowledge and a passion for supporting pupil progress High expectations for behaviour, learning, and pupil achievement A team player with excellent communication and organisational skills Why Join Us?
