We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join our supportive and high-performing primary school in Kent from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position, and for the right candidate, there is the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities with a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) available.
About the Role
As our Year 6 teacher, you’ll be leading pupils through a crucial and rewarding phase of their primary education. You’ll be responsible for delivering a balanced, engaging curriculum that prepares children both academically and emotionally for the transition to secondary school. You'll work closely with the SLT and the wider staff team to ensure strong outcomes and positive experiences for all pupils.
If you have experience or interest in curriculum development, phase leadership, or mentoring others, this role could also include leadership responsibilities, supported by a TLR.

We’re Looking For

A qualified teacher (QTS) with proven experience in Key Stage 2
*
Strong understanding of Year 6 curriculum, SATs preparation, and pupil transition
*
High expectations for all pupils, with a focus on achievement and resilience
*
A positive role model who leads by example and inspires confidence in others
*
Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
*
A desire to contribute to whole-school improvement and staff development
*
For the TLR: experience of subject or phase leadership, or a clear readiness to step into a leadership role
