Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum for Year 6.
Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, using data to inform planning and set challenging targets.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and resilience.
Support the development of literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum skills to ensure pupils achieve their potential.
Prepare pupils for SATs and other end-of-primary assessments, providing targeted support where needed.
Promote positive behaviour and well-being, ensuring all pupils feel safe and supported.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support pupil progress and welfare.
Contribute to whole-school initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
Organise and lead extracurricular activities, trips, and events that enrich pupils' learning experiences.
Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching upper KS2, preferably Year 6.
Strong understanding of the national curriculum and SATs requirements.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate learning effectively.
Committed to high standards, with a passion for raising attainment and closing achievement gaps.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
