About the Role – Year 6 Teacher:
As a Year 6 Class Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school. Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering engaging, well-paced lessons that challenge and support all learners
*
Teaching the full Year 6 curriculum with a focus on core subjects and SATs preparation
*
Creating a calm, purposeful learning environment with high expectations for behaviour and effort
*
Using data and formative assessment to identify gaps and adapt teaching accordingly
*
Working collaboratively with your parallel teacher and subject leaders to raise attainment
*
Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing during this key transitional year
*
Building strong, trust-based relationships with parents and carers
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Proven experience in KS2, preferably in Year 6
*
In-depth knowledge of the national curriculum and end-of-KS2 assessment frameworks
*
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
*
A reflective practitioner committed to continuous improvement and excellence
*
A calm, resilient, and nurturing presence with a passion for helping children succeed
