Aspire People is recruiting an experienced and ambitious Year 6 Teacher / Year Group Lead for a thriving primary school in Perry Barr. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong classroom practitioner who is passionate about raising standards and leading teaching and learning across Year 6.
The Role:
Lead and teach a Year 6 class, ensuring excellent pupil progress and attainment.
Provide leadership and support to the Year 6 team.
Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
Prepare pupils effectively for SATs and the transition to secondary school.
Monitor achievement data and implement strategies to drive improvement.
Work closely with senior leaders to enhance outcomes across Key Stage 2.
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has proven experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6.
Demonstrates strong leadership potential or previous middle leadership experience.
Has a track record of securing strong SATs outcomes.
Possesses excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
