Contract: Until March 2026
Daily Rate: Up to £420 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid – 2 days in the office per week)

Are you an experienced Year End Accountant looking for your next contract opportunity?
We’re recruiting for a Year End Accountant to support a leading UK business through their financial year end and audit process. This is a hands-on, fast-paced contract position ideal for a finance professional with strong group reporting and statutory accounts experience.
The Role
As the Year End Accountant, you’ll play a key role in the finance team — assisting with month-end and year-end reporting, financial analysis, reconciliations, and the preparation of statutory financial statements. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager to support the completion of group reports and external audit requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Producing and analysing monthly management accounts and board reports.
* Coordinating financial data across departments for group reporting.
* Preparing and reconciling balance sheet accounts and bank reconciliations.
* Processing transactions using NetSuite.
* Managing auditor queries and maintaining detailed audit files.
* Supporting treasury and banking administration.
* Monitoring internal controls and identifying process improvements.
About You
The ideal Year End Accountant will have:
* Proven experience in group reporting and statutory accounts preparation.
* Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
* A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
* Confidence managing tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
* Experience liaising with external auditors.
* Knowledge of NetSuite (desirable but not essential).
* A continuous improvement mindset and strong communication skills.
You’ll be a team player who enjoys problem-solving, thrives under pressure, and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely financial reporting.
