Job Opportunity: Youth Justice Delivery and Intervention Worker
Location: Magdalen House, Bootle, L20 3NJ
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week
Length: Initial 3 months
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? Sefton Youth Justice Service (YJS) is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Youth Justice Delivery and Intervention
Worker to join our dynamic and supportive team on a temporary agency basis.
🔎 About the Role In this key frontline position, you will work directly with children aged 10–18 and their families to improve outcomes, reduce offending, and support positive futures. You will deliver meaningful interventions, build relationships, and act as a single point of contact for those you support.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a varied caseload of statutory and non-statutory cases
Conducting assessments and developing tailored intervention plans
Coordinating with partners to deliver holistic, child-focused support
Carrying out home visits and working flexibly within the community
Promoting the voice and participation of children and families
Recording and reviewing casework using Sefton’s IT systems💼 What We’re Looking For We are seeking someone who is:
Experienced in youth justice, early intervention, family support or similar
Skilled in assessing risk and safeguarding children
Empathetic, resilient, and confident in challenging situations
Collaborative, able to work across agencies to deliver cohesive support
Flexible, willing to work outside standard hours when requiredA Level 3 qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience is desirable.
