Youth Worker – Lampeter Youth Café (SA48)
Part-time / Full-time options available
Location: Lampeter, SA48
Our client has opened a Youth Café and they are seeking an enthusiastic, supportive, and community-minded Youth Worker to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people grow and thrive in a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment.
As a Youth Worker, you will:
* Support young people aged 11–18 through informal education, activities, and conversation.
* Create a warm, inclusive space where young people feel listened to, respected, and valued.
* Help plan, deliver, and evaluate sessions, workshops, and community projects.
* Act as a positive role model, promoting wellbeing, confidence, and life skills.
* Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, families, and local organisations.
* Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and café policies are followed at all times.
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Friendly, patient, and able to build trust with young people.
* Creative and proactive, with plenty of ideas for engaging café activities.
* Confident in managing groups and handling challenging situations calmly.
* Passionate about youth empowerment and community development.
* Willing to work some evenings and weekends.
* Desirable: Experience in youth work, education, social care, or community settings.
* Desirable: Youth work qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
* Essential: An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one before starting.
