Job Description

Teaching Personnel are working with a lovely School in Petersfield who are looking for an experienced 1:1 TA to work with a Year 4 child with SEMH. The hours are monday to friday 8:30am-13:15.

This child has SEMH, communication & interaction plus cognition and learning needs as well as trauma which presents as self destructive behaviour including oppositional defiance.

They are therefore looking for someone with the following skill set:

Quick thinking and able to think outside the box
Able to pick up on and use the child's interests in order to develop a learning skill (academic or social)
Good sense of humour
Calm, resilient and able to not take things personally
Someone who likes a challenge
Understands how important it is to reset and allow time for the child to regulate
Experienced SEN practitioner particularly with SEMH experience
Knowledge of zones of regulation and ideally the Empowerment Approach for behaviour management (Kit Messenger)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
