ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT?

We are excited to be recruiting for a highly experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in the Coleshill area.

About the role:

Full-time SEND Teaching Assistant position (5 days per week)
Starting from the new academic year
Providing dedicated 2:1 support for two pupils in Reception during the mornings and within thier SEND base in the afternoons
Supporting pupils with learning activities, communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
Delivering targeted support and interventions in line with individual pupil needs
Working closely with the Class Teacher, SENDCo, and wider SEND team
Helping pupils access the curriculum and engage positively in school life

What we're looking for:

We're looking for a highly experienced, passionate, and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant who has a strong background supporting children with additional needs within a primary school setting. The successful candidate will be patient, proactive, resilient, and committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.

You will:

Have substantial experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Have experience working within EYFS and Reception settings
Be confident delivering personalised 2:1 support + able to put in structure to achieve outcomes that are needed of the pupils
Have a strong understanding of a range of SEND needs and effective intervention strategies
Be able to support communication, emotional regulation, social development, and learning outcomes
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Adapt your approach to meet individual needs and challenges
Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team
Have strong communication and organisational skills
Be reliable, professional, and committed to safeguarding children
Be passionate about inclusive education and helping every child reach their full potentialThe successful candidate will join a dedicated team that is passionate about providing high-quality support for pupils with additional needs. You will play a key role in helping children develop confidence, independence, and the skills they need to succeed both within the classroom and beyond.
