Job Title: 2x Wireman (National Grid Person Authorised)
Location: National Grid, Swansea North 400kV Substation
Job Type: Temporary Contract
Start Date: 23/03/2026
End Date: 25/09/2026
Hours: 45 hours per week
Working Hours: 07:30 - 17:30
Rate: £320 per day
IR35 Status: Inside IR35 (Ltd Company not permitted)
Positions Available: 2

The Role:
We are currently recruiting for 2 experienced NG Authorised Wiremen to support works on a National Grid substation project at Swansea North. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a key UK infrastructure project within a live high-voltage environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical fitting activities on high voltage switchgear, transformers, and associated equipment
Installation of control and protection systems
Installation of earthing systems
Installation of outdoor equipment including busbars, disconnectors, and switchgear
Maintenance of high voltage equipment
Fault finding on both low and high voltage systems
Receiving and working in accordance with high voltage documentation
Requirements (Essential):

NG Persons / National Grid Authorisation (essential - no exceptions)
Proven experience working on National Grid or similar HV substation projects
Strong background in electrical installation and fitting within HV environments
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Full PPE (must be in place prior to site start)
