Job Description

7.5 ton Drivers - Basingstoke

Forte Recruitment are looking for experienced 7.5 ton Drivers within the Basingstoke area.

We have a wide range of opportunities on offer including; multi-drop, same day & bulk deliveries and long-distance runs.

Roles can be either long term, on-going positions or ad-hoc vacancies.

Work shifts and Hours to suit you – Choose to work between 1 to 6 days a week, it’s your choice.

Full UK 7.5 ton Driving licence is essential.

Start times = 5am to 8am Monday to Friday.

Pay rates = £13.00 to £19.50 per hour - All shifts are guaranteed 8 hours pay per day, overtime paid at time and a half.

The successful applicants will deliver & collect products and goods safely, efficiently and to their designated locations within a set timeframe.

Duties will include loading / unloading. Successful applicants will need to be flexible, helpful and capable of lifting heavy loads.

Reporting directly to Forte Recruitment, the successful 7.5 ton Drivers will be part of our busy distribution team.

These are customer facing roles, applicants will be required to have high standards of customer service, and a positive and professional approach at all times.

Duties will include:

The successful 7.5 ton Drivers will be required to undertake the following duties:-

  * Driving 7.5 ton vehicles to deliver goods via various delivery routes.

  * Loading & unloading of your vehicle.

  * Complete daily run sheets and carry out daily vehicle checks.

  * Report any defects to the vehicle to your Line Manager.

  * Meeting multiple customers.

  * Checking and confirming delivery accuracy against PDA/paperwork.

  * Drive safely & following all laws and driving legislation to maintain a safe and healthy work. environment.

  * Follows pre-planned route accurately without deviation from set course.

  * Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicles.

  * Heavy lifting required.

Applicant Requirements:

The successful 7.5 ton Drivers will need to demonstrate the following traits and experience:-

  * Full UK Driving Licence, valid CPC & Digi Cards.

  * Able to lift and handle heavy loads.

  * Courteous & possess good customer service skills.

  * Able to communicate & problem solve.

  * Ability to work under pressure.

  * Patient, enthusiastic, attention to detail.

  * Be prepared to undertake training as required.

  * Be a team player.

  * Excellent communication skills.

  * Have a positive, can do attitude.

  * Hard working, loyal and committed.

  * Have a flexible approach.
