Our client is seeking an Account Director to provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of key client accounts, ensuring exceptional service, commercial success and the delivery of high-quality campaigns. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused leader to drive account growth, mentor account management teams and play a key role in developing long-term client partnerships.

The Role

As the Account Director, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of high-value client accounts, acting as a trusted strategic advisor while overseeing the successful delivery of campaigns, projects and retained services. Working closely with senior leadership and internal teams, you will ensure client objectives are achieved while driving commercial performance and maintaining the highest standards of service.

You will also play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, improving internal processes and supporting the ongoing development of the account management team.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Lead the strategic direction of a portfolio of high-value client accounts.

  * 

    Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.

  * 

    Oversee the successful delivery of multiple campaigns, projects and retained services.

  * 

    Manage account profitability, forecasting, budgets and resource planning.

  * 

    Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships and support new business development.

  * 

    Lead, coach and mentor Senior Account Managers, Account Managers and Account Executives.

  * 

    Work closely with senior leadership to improve processes and enhance service delivery.

  * 

    Lead strategic presentations, workshops, planning sessions and client meetings.

  * 

    Collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding client outcomes.

  * 

    Ensure exceptional levels of client service and campaign delivery are consistently achieved.

About You

  * 

    A minimum of six years' experience within a marketing, creative, communications or integrated agency environment.

  * 

    Proven success leading complex, multi-disciplinary client accounts.

  * 

    Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, profitability and forecasting.

  * 

    Outstanding client relationship and stakeholder management skills.

  * 

    A strategic thinker with excellent communication and presentation skills.

  * 

    Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor and develop high-performing teams.

  * 

    Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.

  * 

    Passionate about delivering exceptional client service and driving long-term account growth
