Perfect Path Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading UK technology provider with over 25 years of experience in Cloud, Connectivity, and Cyber Security. Following significant growth, they are looking for a motivated Public Sector Account Manager to join their Cardiff-based team.
In this role, you will be the strategic link between the business and SME-level public sector clients. You won't just be selling products; you’ll be proposing tailored technology solutions from next-gen networking to sustainable infrastructure that directly improve public service delivery and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing
* End-to-End Sales: Manage the full cycle from lead generation and requirement gathering to contract negotiation and closing.
* Strategic Planning: Develop bespoke account plans that align with the unique budgetary and compliance needs of local authorities, healthcare, and educational institutions.
* Tender Management: Lead complex proposal processes, ensuring strict adherence to public procurement regulations.
* Relationship Building: Act as a trusted partner to key stakeholders, conducting regular on-site meetings to ensure long-term satisfaction and growth.
* Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of technology trends and compliance shifts within the UK public sector.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* IT Managed Services Experience: A proven track record in Account Management within IT solutions or technology.
* Public Sector Knowledge: A strong understanding of the specific requirements and pressures facing public sector organisations.
* Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles, tenders, and high-level negotiations.
* Mobility: A full UK driving license and the ability to travel regularly to client sites, alongside 3 days per week in the Cardiff office.
* Technical Literacy: Comfortable using cloud CRMs and discussing technical portfolios (Cloud, Security, Connectivity).
Desirable:
* Vertical-specific knowledge in a particular public sector niche.
* Deep understanding of public procurement frameworks and compliance standards.
