Job Description

Your new company 
You will be joining a well-established organisation with a busy and supportive finance function. The company operates within a fast‑paced commercial environment and has an experienced accounts team where you will play an important role. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills across multiple areas of finance while working closely with the Company Accountant and wider team.
Your new role 
In this varied Accounts Assistant position, you will support the smooth running of the finance function through a blend of sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll support and general administrative duties. You will take responsibility for posting daily receipts, maintaining debtor information, issuing invoices, managing queries, and supporting credit control. You'll also assist with supplier invoice processing, statement reconciliations, payment preparation, and maintaining accurate data within the accounts' system. Alongside this, you will help with monthly routines such as statements, reconciliations and month‑end processing, while providing occasional support with payroll administration, reporting and compliance. This is a hands‑on role that will see you working closely with the Company Accountant and wider office team to ensure accuracy, efficiency and excellent financial administration across the business.

What you'll need to succeed 

Experience within accounts or a similar administrative finance role
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Confident communication skills and the ability to liaise across departments
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
A proactive, flexible and team‑focused approachExperience of purchase and/or sales ledger work is desirable but not essential for someone motivated and keen to learn.
