Job Description

Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Exeter 
An exciting opportunity has opened for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established regional contractor on a permanent basis. Based out of the area, this role will cover a wide range of projects including commercial refurbishments, internals ad externals ranging from £10k up to £5m. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial support to the Commercial Manager and senior management team on multiple projects across the region. 

 Responsibilities:

Financial and contractual management
Reviewing contract terms and conditions with the Commercial Manager
Procurement and management of all suppliers and subcontractors
Submission and agreement of client valuations and final accounts
Ensure variations are reported and costed in a timely manner
Maximising each project’s cash position 
Monthly CVR reporting
Managing financial risk and opportunity
Assist the Contracts Manager with project reporting
Provide estimating and contracts management support when time permits
Encourage and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients and supply chain
Requirements:

Degree qualified desirable or undertaking
Relevant driving licence
Strong written, oral communication skills and negotiation
Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and Project
