Job Description

We’re recruiting an experienced Air Conditioning Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery, performance and compliance of HVAC services across a large, fast‑paced retail estate. This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring all air‑conditioning systems are maintained, upgraded and optimised to support store comfort, energy efficiency and uptime.

You’ll manage contractors, lead planned and reactive programmes, and ensure all works meet legal, technical and brand standards. This role suits someone who thrives in a multi‑site environment and brings strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness and exceptional stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Lead the end‑to‑end management of AC contracts across a large retail estate

  * 

    Oversee planned maintenance, reactive repairs and asset lifecycle programmes

  * 

    Manage contractor performance, SLAs, KPIs and compliance documentation

  * 

    Ensure all HVAC works meet statutory requirements, including F‑Gas, H&S and building regulations

  * 

    Coordinate site access, scheduling and communication with store managers and FM teams

  * 

    Review technical reports, diagnose issues and approve remedial works

  * 

    Support energy‑efficiency and decarbonisation initiatives across the estate

  * 

    Manage budgets, quotations, variations and cost control

  * 

    Lead continuous improvement across AC systems, performance and contractor delivery

  * 

    Provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders and support wider FM projects

What We’re Looking For

  * 

    Strong background in HVAC, air‑conditioning or refrigeration contracts management

  * 

    Experience managing multi‑site retail, commercial or FM portfolios

  * 

    Solid understanding of F‑Gas compliance, H&S and statutory requirements

  * 

    Confident managing contractors, performance and commercial agreements

  * 

    Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  * 

    Strong organisational ability with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset

  * 

    Ability to interpret technical reports and make informed decisions

  * 

    Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the estate
