Job Description

The Role

We are hiring an Application Support Engineer to support and maintain live production systems within a fast-paced technology environment.

This is a hands-on role focused on production support, incident management, and system monitoring, working closely with engineering teams to ensure applications run reliably and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Provide application support for live production systems

  * 

    Monitor system performance using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus or Nagios

  * 

    Investigate and resolve incidents across production environments

  * 

    Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes

  * 

    Support application deployments, upgrades, and releases

  * 

    Maintain documentation including runbooks and incident logs

  * 

    Work closely with development teams to support testing and production systems

  * 

    Carry out system health checks and proactively identify issues

Skills & Experience Required

  * 

    1–3 years’ experience in Application Support, Production Support or Systems Support

  * 

    Strong experience with Linux / Unix systems

  * 

    Good working knowledge of SQL and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar)

  * 

    Experience troubleshooting issues in live production environments

  * 

    Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios)

  * 

    Understanding of incident management / ITIL environments

  * 

    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  * 

    Good communication skills (fluent English required)

Desirable Skills

  * 

    Experience with scripting (Python, Shell)

  * 

    Exposure to automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

  * 

    Experience supporting high-availability systems

  * 

    Any exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
