About Job
As an Apprenticeship Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of employer engagement and apprenticeship sales across Leicester, Northampton, Nottingham, Derby, and Lincolnshire. You will identify and develop new business opportunities, build long-lasting partnerships, and support learners into work-based learning programmes.
Key responsibilities include:

Developing and maintaining strong employer relationships across the East Midlands

Promoting apprenticeships and work-based learning solutions to meet employer needs
*
Delivering sales strategies to achieve apprenticeship starts, revenue targets, and business growth
*
Preparing tailored proposals, presentations, and contracts for prospective employers
*
Attending networking events, conferences, and employer meetings to grow the organisation’s presence
*
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery of apprenticeship programmes
*
Providing market insights and supporting bid or tender development
*
Monitoring employer engagement performance and identifying new growth opportunities
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a motivated and commercially minded professional with experience in apprenticeship sales, work-based learning, or employer engagement.
You will bring:

Proven success in achieving apprenticeship start targets and sales objectives

Strong understanding of apprenticeship funding, delivery models, and work-based learning frameworks
*
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities

Confidence working autonomously and managing regional priorities
*
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the East Midlands
