Job Description

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a growing, family-run engineering supplier, making great waves within the compressed air industry.

 The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager shall be fully remote, covering the South West region including South Wales, Bristol, Gloucester and Worcester. The role will be responsible for new business development and key account management, selling a range of compressed air products and engineered solutions, including compressors, vacuum systems, blowers, dryers and associated compressed air equipment. Full product training provided.

 The ideal Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will ideally have proven sales experience within compressed air or transferable sectors such as pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, rotating equipment, plant equipment, MRO, machinery, capital equipment, or industrial systems.

Managing and developing customer accounts across the South West region, including South Wales, Bristol, Gloucester and Worcester.
Manage and grow existing relationships as well as develop new business opportunities, selling compressed air products and engineered solutions.
Identify and secure new customers through proactive sales activity, customer visits and relationship building.
Selling compressed air equipment such as compressors, vacuum systems, blowers, dryers and associated equipment.
Conduct customer meetings, site visits and technical discussions to understand requirements and provide suitable solutions.
Working closely with the compressed air Service Department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales support is provided.
Liaise with various engineering departments to deliver effective customer solutions.
Fully remote, field-based role covering the South West region.Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Requirements

Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Representative or similar within engineering.
Compressor Service Engineers looking to come off the tools and progress into a sales role would also be of interest.
A technical engineering qualification, an apprentice-trained background, HNC, HND or a degree would be advantageous.
Experience selling, servicing, or managing accounts within engineering within compressed air or transferable products such as pumps, valves, plant equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, automation, rotating equipment, MRO, machinery, power tools, industrial systems or similar. Full product training provided.
Full clean driving licence.
Knowledge of the compressed air market, such as compressors, vacuum systems, filtration, blowers & dryers, downstream equipment, refrigeration, nitrogen generators or similar compressed air-related products/services, is advantageous
