Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor

Location: Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire

Salary/Benefits: £26k - £42k + Training & Benefits

Due to recently growing their presence in the Home Counties / South East of England, our client is looking to add to their existing Asbestos department. They are seeking a switched-on Asbestos Surveyor to cover a range of domestic and commercial client sites. Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience, and will be self-sufficient in managing their own workload. Our client is a privately owned outfit, with UKAS accrediation and a positive, friendly ethos. The successful candidate can expect excellent basic salaries and usual benefits (e.g. pension scheme, annual leave and company vehicle).

Client sites are based around: Milton Keynes, Buckingham, Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard, Luton, Hitchin, Biggleswade, Royston, Buntingford, Bishops’ Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Harlow, Hatfield, Bedford, St Neots, Tring, Thame, High Wycombe, Watford, St Albans, Hatfield, St Albans, Welwyn Garden City, Enfield, Chigwell, Harrow, Wembley, Beaconsfield, Potters Bar, Brackley, Oxford, Bicester.

Experience / Qualifications:

  * Good experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor, working within a UKAS accredited company

  * Qualified with the BOHS P402, or RSPH equivalent

  * Fully conversant in HSG 264 guidelines

  * Adaptable to changing travel requirements

  * Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills

  * Excellent communicator

The Role:

  * Carrying out management, demolition and asbestos surveys across commercial and domestic sites

  * Collating findings to produce detailed survey reports

  * Obtaining asbestos samples and delivering to the lab for analysis

  * Meeting with clients to provide advice on survey findings

  * Training new surveyors

  * Adhering to personal targets and company deadlines

  * Maintaining strong working relationships with clients

  * Travelling in line with company needs
