ASD Support Assistant - Thatcham Location: Thatcham, SEN School Start Date: ASAP Pay Scale: £89.00- £100.00/ day Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Do you come from a background in ASD Support or Mental Health Support? A friendly and inclusive SEN School in Thatcham is looking for a new ASD Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to grow their experience working with Special Educational Needs and is excited to work in a specialist setting that caters to needs such as ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and other mental health needs. If you are a graduate looking to pursue a career in child psychology, this role offers an excellent foundation to build relevant experience. You will work alongside experienced professionals, supporting children on an individual basis to access education. This will provide valuable hands-on experience and insight from psychologists, therapeutic support workers, and SEN teachers, helping you develop the skills needed to effectively support each child's individual needs. This ASD Support Assistant role will involve: Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who have a SEN diagnosis (ASD) Deliver an adapted curriculum to suit individual needs Work with outer agency professionals Help to maintain a calm and supportive learning environmentThe school welcomes applications from experienced SEN Support Assistants, as well as individuals who are looking to pursue a career in children's mental health.
