Job Description

Build technician (electro-mechanical) – Robotics – high tech scale-up, oxford

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive, hi-tech start-up company at the stage where it is scaling significantly. The company is based in Oxfordshire and has ambitious plans.

The company designs, manufactures and assembles autonomous logistics robots – these contain mechanical structural parts, telescopic vision systems, enclosures, batteries, etc

The company is well funded and has an enviable client base and order book. It has ambitious growth plans and is seeking a number of build/assembly technicians to join the team, who are fully committed to contributing towards this growth.

The roles are 100% based on site and are day shift Monday to Friday

What you will do

  * Work as part of a team assembling mechanical parts in a controlled workshop environment. Assemblies are complex, with low volume and long assembly time. This is a precision build environment by multiskilled technicians

  * Use hand tools and specialist equipment to assemble mechanical with care and tacit skill.

  * Follow build sequences, log concerns and issues, rework parts if necessary. Ensure traceability is kept.

What you will need

  * Demonstrate at least 2 years recent experience in a low volume, high tact time, high- precision environment.

  * Be able to use common assembly tools and have workshop experience

  * Be willing to work in a demanding and fast paced environment that may require discretionary working. This is very important

  * Unfettered right to work in UK
