Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Retail Fit-Out Projects

£35,000 – £55,000 + Company Car or £8k Car Allowance (depending on experience)

Location: Bristol – with flexibility to travel to client sites across the UK when required
Employment Type: Permanent | Hybrid Working Available

About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading fit-out contractor delivering high-quality retail projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their commercial skills in a fast-paced environment with full support for career progression.

The successful candidate will assist in managing budgets, procurement, and cost control, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. We’re focused on retail fit-out.

Key Responsibilities

  * Support the commercial team in managing all aspects of retail fit-out projects.

  * Assist with preparing budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.

  * Help with procurement and subcontractor negotiations.

  * Maintain accurate financial records and compliance with processes.

  * Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  * Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or related field.

  * Previous experience in a similar role within construction or fit-out projects.

  * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

  * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
