Auto Electrician - Cumbria
£16-18 per hour DOE
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a qualified Auto Electrician to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrician looking to apply their experience in a specialist manufacturing environment.
As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and testing electrical systems within manufactured products while ensuring all work meets relevant safety standards and regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
Installing, maintaining, and testing electrical systems within manufactured products.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Working closely with design, production, and electrical teams to deliver reliable and compliant electrical solutions.
Conducting inspections to identify and resolve potential electrical faults.
Maintaining accurate records of testing, maintenance, and completed work.
Contributing to ongoing improvements in electrical processes and company standards.
Requirements
Fully qualified electrician with relevant certification (e.g., 18th Edition or equivalent).
Proven experience in domestic and/or commercial electrical installations.
Automotive wiring experience is beneficial but not essential.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and electrical regulations.
Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and compliance.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Benefits:
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:45pm (40 hours per week)
£16 - £18 per hour, depending on experience. Open to negotiation
Overtime available Monday to Saturday, with weekly bonus opportunities
30 days paid holiday per year
