Are you passionate about helping children overcome behavioural and emotional challenges and supporting them to reach their full potential? We are looking for a caring, dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming and supportive school in Salisbury, Wiltshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), as well as behavioural, emotional and social needs. The role could be well suited to experienced Behaviour Mentors, Teaching Assistants and support workers, as well as graduates and aspiring professionals interested in Psychology, Behaviour Support, Pastoral Care, Education or SEND. The Role As a Behaviour Mentor, you will provide consistent support to help children develop positive behaviours, improve their confidence and engage more successfully with their education. Your responsibilities will include: Providing one-to-one and targeted support to children during the school day. Building positive, trusting relationships that encourage confidence, self-esteem and emotional wellbeing. Using agreed behaviour strategies and individualised support plans to meet children's needs. Helping children develop positive social skills, effective communication and respectful relationships. Supporting children when they experience difficulties with behaviour, emotions or engagement with learning. Encouraging children to return to lessons and participate positively in their education. Working alongside teachers, pastoral staff and other professionals to monitor behaviour and support children's progress. Helping children recognise and understand their emotions and develop appropriate coping strategies. Following all safeguarding, health and safety and school behaviour procedures. About You The successful candidate will be calm, patient, compassionate and resilient, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference to children's lives. You will understand that behaviour can sometimes be an indication of an underlying emotional, social or additional need. You should be confident managing challenging situations while maintaining a supportive, consistent and positive approach. You will be committed to helping children develop greater self-awareness, resilience and confidence, while supporting them to overcome barriers that may impact their learning and wellbeing. What We Offer £85-£110 per day, depending on experience. PAYE weekly pay. Full-time and part-time positions available. September 2026 start. Valuable experience within a school setting.
