Job Description

Business Development Consultant - Wastewater Services 
Location: Kent, ME17 - with occasional UK travel 
Salary: Circa £45,000 + commission 
Contract: Full-time, Permanent 
The Role 
Are you experienced in Sales/Business Development to drive new business growth within the water and wastewater sector. 
The role will focus heavily on identifying and securing new customers and service contracts, particularly across pumping stations, sewage treatment plants, booster sets and associated wastewater services. 
Alongside developing new business, you will also support and lead an existing team of two Sales Administrators, helping to develop the sales pipeline and improve processes. 
Key Responsibilities 
·Identify and secure new business and service contract opportunities. 
·Manage the full sales process from lead generation through to contract award. 
·Develop opportunities across pumping stations, treatment plants, booster sets and wastewater services. 
·Promote planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, refurbishment and optimisation services. 
·Build relationships with water companies, local authorities, industrial clients and other asset owners. 
·Prepare quotations, proposals, bids and tenders. 
·Attend client meetings and site visits to understand technical requirements. 
·Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM. 
·Work closely with engineering and operational teams on scoping and pricing. 
·Support, mentor and develop the existing two-person sales administration team. 
About You 
The ideal candidate will have: 
·Business development or technical sales experience within the water/wastewater sector. 
·Technical knowledge of pumping stations, sewage treatment plants and booster sets. 
·Knowledge of tankering and wider wastewater services would be advantageous. 
·Experience selling maintenance or service contracts. 
·Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship-building skills. 
·Experience preparing quotations, bids and tenders. 
·Strong people and leadership skills. 
·Full UK driving licence.

·Circa £45,000 basic salary
