Job Description

Business Development Manager – Newtownabbey Competitive + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits "You’ve shaken enough hands and eaten enough rubber chicken dinners. Fancy selling something that actually saves lives?" We’re a global leader in fire safety consultancy. We’re looking for a Business Development Manager from construction or related sectors. No vague job descriptions. No cut-and-paste. Is this you? You’ve got 5+ years in business development, ideally in construction, civils, or building materials. You know fire safety isn’t a tick-box. You’re bored of selling things that don’t matter—and really bored of job ads that read like legal documents. What you’ll actually enjoy: * Finding new clients (architects, contractors, regulators) who need fire testing. * Helping them navigate complex regulations. You’ll be the person they call when they’re stuck. * Writing proposals that win work. Proper persuasive ones. * Conferences, meetings, site visits. Fewer sad sandwiches. More engineering. Where? A multinational consultancy with labs across Europe. We’re who builders call when they don’t want their building to burn down. Serious technical leader. Not a beanbag startup. What you’ll get: * Salary that respects your experience + bonus + car allowance * A boss who actually supports you * Real progression (Sarah got promoted. Could you?) * A CRM that won’t make you rage-quit What you’ll need: 5+ years in BD or sales. A degree? Helpful. MBA? Nice, not essential. You can write a proposal that doesn’t put people to sleep. You’re fine with a bit of science (we’ll teach you the rest). Apply (CV not up to date? Don’t panic)
