We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading National Fleet and Vehicle Leasing company, for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their expanding team in Middlesex. This role offers the opportunity to operate across the UK, selling bespoke fleet management solutions, products, and services to a diverse range of industries.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, building strong client relationships, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closure. The role requires delivering tailored proposals, high-quality bids, and presentations to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
This position is ideal for Individuals with a background in fleet, vehicles, or business development who are familiar with strategic planning, relationship management, and high-volume bid management.

• Up to £53,000 basic salary
• Uncapped commission structure
• Car allowance
• 37.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday
• Twenty-five days holiday plus bank holidays, rising with service

Duties of a Business Development Manager:
• Achieve set sales targets as directed by company leadership
• Develop and implement a business plan to meet and exceed annual sales goals
• Cultivate relationships with prospects aligning with client profiles to generate opportunities
• Manage prospect pipeline from initial contact through to opportunity development and closure
• Prepare and deliver compelling bid responses, proposals, and presentations
• Build long-term relationships with internal and external customers
• Consistently produce high-quality work and deliver tasks within set deadlines
• Develop strategies to convert opportunities into successful sales
• Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities and sales progress
• Attend meetings and industry events as required
Requirements of a Business Development Manager:
• Proven experience in fleet, vehicle, or business development sales
• Demonstrable success in meeting sales targets through strategic relationship management
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to produce high-quality proposals and bid responses
• Professional attitude with a customer-focused approach
• Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
