Job Description
Joining Burton Security as a Buyer gives you the chance to shape a brand-new role within a growing purchasing function. This is an exciting opportunity to influence buying strategy across a multi-site security manufacturing and services group.
Along with a salary of £32,000 – £36,000, you will also receive:
* 37.5-hour working week

What you’ll be doing as Buyer at Burton Security:
* Leading sourcing activities across categories including Energy, Technology, Consumables, Materials, Marketing, Professional Services, Property, Logistics and Supply Chain.
* Driving cost-saving initiatives and identifying opportunities for supplier consolidation.
* Managing supplier relationships and supporting contract negotiation and contract database updates.
* Extracting and analysing purchasing data to identify value-driven improvements.
* Overseeing GNFR purchasing activity, raising POs and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
We’re looking for a Buyer with:
* Proven indirect procurement experience, ideally within IT, Technology or Professional Services categories.
* Strong background in tendering, supplier selection and negotiation.
* Knowledge of contract law and commercial agreements.
* Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across multiple business areas.
* Willingness to travel to group sites and supplier premises as required.
