Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented CCTV Operator to join our Security Operations Centre. Ideal for someone organised, reliable, and confident working with CCTV systems. You will play a key role in monitoring, reviewing and analysing CCTV footage to support security operations and incident investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  * Monitor live CCTV feeds and review recorded footage to identify incidents or suspicious activity.

  * Capture and log relevant events accurately, ensuring evidence is clearly documented.

  * Prepare investigation packs including CCTV clips, timelines, and supporting information.

  * Record findings in internal reports and maintain accurate documentation.

  * Assist security teams by collecting and organising information before cases are escalated.

  * Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in line with data protection policies.

  * Provide general administrative support to the Security Operations Centre when required.

  * Cover other functions within the Security Operations Centre during periods of absence, which may include occasional night shifts.

Person Specification:

  * Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.

  * Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to high standards.

  * Methodical and well-organised, with excellent attention to detail.

  * Comfortable reviewing CCTV footage and handling large volumes of information.

  * Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Skills & Knowledge:

Essential:

  * Exceptional attention to detail.

  * Competent computer and IT skills.

  * Ability to follow processes and instructions accurately.

  * Strong organisational and time management skills.

  * Capable of handling confidential information responsibly.

Desirable:

  * Experience working with CCTV or other security systems.

  * Background in retail, administration, or customer-facing environments.

  * Genuine interest in security, compliance, or investigative work.

Position: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 12-hour day shifts on a 4-on, 4-off rota
Location: Plymouth, Devon
