The Role
Step into a key role within a high-performing Manufacturing team, where you’ll play a vital part in keeping a fast-moving production environment running smoothly. As a Chemical Weighing Operative, you’ll take ownership of accurately preparing raw materials used in the creation of leading personal care, cosmetic, and household products. Your work directly contributes to meeting customer expectations, achieving company targets, and upholding the reputation for quality and reliability for our client.

Responsibilities
• Accurately weigh and prepare chemicals for use in manufacturing, following robust safety and handling procedures.
• Champion Health & Safety, working in full compliance with SOPs, company policies, and industry best practice.
• Contribute to team success by helping exceed departmental KPIs and continuously improving processes.
• Complete all documentation clearly and accurately to maintain full traceability.
• Maintain stock accuracy, ensuring warehouse management system data matches physical inventory and recording all stock movements promptly.
• Identify and resolve issues independently, using your initiative and experience to keep operations on track.
• Prioritise effectively, managing multiple tasks while keeping quality and safety at the forefront.
• Maintain a clean, organised workspace, supporting excellent housekeeping standards.
Key Skills & Attributes
• A positive, proactive “can-do” attitude and willingness to embrace change
• Flexibility to support tasks beyond the core remit when required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels
• A structured, organised approach with strong attention to detail
• A logical, methodical approach to problem-solving within manufacturing environments
• Technical understanding of process operations—experience in a chemical-based industry is a bonus
• Bendi forklift licence advantageous but not essential.
What we can offer
* Full training is provided
* Temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate
* 50p per hour shift allowance (after training completed)
Shifts
* 10pm – 6am (initially the candidate would work 2pm – 10pm until fully trained and then transition over to night shift hours)
