💰 £1000 per day
📅 12 Month Contract (Potential Extension)
A major public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Chief Digital, Data & Technology Officer to lead large-scale transformation across a complex, multi-agency environment.
This is a high-impact, board-facing leadership role with responsibility for shaping and delivering a modern, integrated digital and data strategy across organisational and system boundaries.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will act as the organisation’s senior authority on digital, data and technology, with accountability for strategy, investment, and delivery across a large-scale function.
You will:
  * Set and deliver a forward-thinking digital, data and technology vision aligned to organisational priorities
  * Lead major transformation programmes across multiple partner organisations
  * Drive innovation across AI, automation and data-led decision making
  * Oversee a significant technology estate, ensuring resilience, scalability and security
  * Operate at system level, influencing regional and national strategy
Key Experience Required
  * Proven experience in a CIO, CTO, CDIO or equivalent executive role
  * Strong background delivering large-scale digital transformation within complex organisations
  * Experience working across multi-agency or public sector environments
  * Deep understanding of data strategy, cyber security, and enterprise technology
  * Demonstrable leadership of large teams and significant budgets
  * Exceptional stakeholder management at executive and political level
Additional Details
  * Location: Surrey (hybrid working)
  * Contract: May 2026 – March 2027
  * Day Rate: £1000 (Inside IR35)
  * Team Size: Up to 300 staff
  * Budget Responsibility: £20m+
