Job Description

Children's Social Worker

We are recruiting for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join a Children's Services team in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire.
This role requires proven experience managing cases involving Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP) and Court Work, with a strong commitment to safeguarding children and achieving positive outcomes for families.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a complex caseload of children and families
Completing statutory assessments and risk assessments
Working with Children in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care cases
Undertaking PLO and Court Work proceedings
Developing and reviewing child-focused plans
Building effective relationships with children, families and carers
Coordinating multi-agency interventions with education, health, police and partner agencies
Preparing high-quality assessments, reports and court statements
Maintaining accurate case records in line with legislation and professional standards

Requirements

Qualified Social Worker with current professional registration
Experience within Children's Services - minimum 3 years permanent post-qualified
Essential experience of: 
Children in Need (CIN)
Child Protection (CP)
Court Work
PLO processes
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance
Excellent assessment, analytical and communication skills
Ability to manage risk and make sound professional decisions
