Benefits for the role of Civils and Drainage Engineer include (but are not limited to): Competitive salary (commensurate with qualifications, skills, and experience) Industry-leading pension scheme Generous annual leave allowance (including your Birthday off) Life insurance cover and healthcare discounts Opportunities for flexible/hybrid working A focus on Continuing Professional Development (CPD), with opportunities for career progression An inclusive, collaborative, dynamic working environment, with a focus on fresh, innovative thinking Support for professional memberships, including payment of subscription fees Cycle-to-Work Scheme Responsibilities for the role of Civils and Drainage Engineer include: Designing, developing, and delivering a range of drainage and other infrastructure and non-infrastructure solutions for a range of clients Working to deliver interesting projects across the residential, commercial, industrial, energy, and education sectors Producing reports and other technical documents to support planning applications and project delivery Collaborating with other teams, internal and external to the company, to deliver aspects of important, high-profile projects Liaising with colleagues, clients, and other significant stakeholders, at all stages of project delivery, from initial inception through to successful delivery and implementation Attending site meetings and other relevant project meetings, acting as a trusted representative of the company Mentoring and supporting other colleagues Required skills and experience for the role of Civils and Drainage Engineer include: A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification ) in Civil or Structural Engineering Demonstrable experience of working in a design-based role, with a particular emphasis on drainage, in a UK consultancy (or Local Authority) setting Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage Sound understanding of the relevant Section Agreements (e.g., S104, S106, etc.) Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Good organisational skills, with the ability to work as part of a high-performing team, as well as on your own initiative Ability to work well under pressure, adhering to industry standards and regulations, maintaining the highest of standards at all times, and upholding strict health and safety standards Hold a full, valid UK driving licence Desirable skills and experience for the role of Civils and Drainage Engineer include: Keen interest in proactively pursuing Chartership Status A Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Proficiency with Site3D If you are interested in the role of Civils and Drainage Engineer, please do not hesitate to contact Caroline Davis at Penguin Recruitment.
