Classroom Teacher ( SEND ) - SEMH
We are currently recruiting for a Classroom Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in the Dover area, supporting pupils aged 8-17 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and associated conditions such as ADHD and ASD.
This school provides a structured, therapeutic learning environment where smaller class sizes and strong staff support allow teachers to focus on building positive relationships and helping pupils re-engage with education.
This role would suit either an experienced SEN teacher or a mainstream teacher looking to transition into specialist education.
The Role
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Teach small classes with additional classroom support staff
Support pupils' academic progress as well as their emotional development
Create a calm, structured and positive learning environment
Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams to support pupil progress
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
Strong relationship-building skills
Resilient, patient and adaptable approach
